Marlon Wayans Says He Never Married Because He Did Not Want His “Mother to Feel Second”

Marlon Wayans says he has by no means tied the knot due to his mom.

The actor says he by no means needed his mom to really feel like second place, so he by no means mentioned “I do.”

“My mother’s death broke me. It shattered me into a million pieces, because that was my girl,” Wayans informed the New York Occasions. “I never got married, because I never wanted my mother to be jealous of a woman. I never wanted my mother to feel second to any woman.”

Elvira Alethia, Waynas’ mom, handed away in July 2020. She was 82 years outdated.

The Hollywood actor admits that it was not the one cause he didn’t get married.

“That was one of five reasons,” he continued. “And Mom was very needy. I told my mother on her deathbed, ‘I never got married because I always wanted you to be my No. 1 girl.’ Those were my last words. I said, ‘Take that to heaven with you.’”
