Jim Irsay says his medical emergency again in December was NOT because of an overdose … insisting this week a leg damage was truly the reason for the scare.
Cops, in fact, have said in any other case. Carmel Police Division officers stated in an incident report they responded to the Indianapolis Colts proprietor’s Carmel residence on Dec. 8 at round 4:30 AM after he had been struggling to breathe with a weak pulse. They stated following an administration of a dose of Narcan — a drug generally used to revive folks in opiate overdose conditions — “he responded slightly.”
Irsay was in the end strapped to a stretcher and brought to the hospital … and cops ended up classifying the entire ordeal as a suspected “overdose” and “overdose/poisoning.”
Irsay, although, was adamant in an interview with Fox 59 on Monday, “It wasn’t an overdose.”
“I don’t know why when you have your name in the paper in the past, people throw that out there quickly,” the 64-year-old stated. “I don’t pay attention to it all that much, but I don’t think it’s fair.”
Irsay — who inherited the Colts after his father died in 1997 — says a leg damage that developed a critical hematoma was the explanation for the police response. He added that it was “unfortunate” officers wrote “overdose” of their report.
Irsay has been recovering since … however he stated he won’t be in attendance for the Colts’ 2024 draft this week as he continues to attempt to get again to one hundred pc.
