Black Protester Called ‘Lizzo’ By White Guys, Receives Monkey Taunts

A Black pro-Palestine protester was referred to as “Lizzo” by a bunch of white counter-protesters throughout a heated faceoff this week … and he or she acquired racist taunts likening her to a monkey.

The ugly scene went down Thursday on the College of Mississippi — with each pro-Palestine and pro-Israel factions holding dueling protests proper there on the campus, which bought heated when a bunch of bros zeroed in on a Black feminine on the Palestine facet of issues.

She was standing there on their lonesome and filming them … and the lads, most of whom have been white, may very well be heard repeatedly insulting her weight — invoking Lizzo‘s title to get the purpose throughout … all whereas calling her a “bitch” and different specific insults.

At one level whereas they have been clashing — from a distance, with no bodily contact — one of many guys who was screaming at her may very well be seen mimicking a monkey, taunting her.

In fact … the extremely racist gesture has been met with main backlash — with many suggesting these fellas have been merely on the market to antagonize and use the protests to show bigotry. Based mostly on what’s depicted in these movies … it actually feels that manner.

What’s even crazier about that is the truth that Rep. Mike Collins — a U.S. congressman for Georgia — posted this video himself and praised the Ole Miss guys … saying they have been “taking care of business.”

Ole Miss itself had this to say in regards to the altercation … “Statements were made at the demonstration on our campus Thursday that were offensive and inappropriate. Any actions that violate university policy will be met with appropriate action.”

Fortunately, the protests at Ole Miss Thursday remained principally peaceable — as there have been no arrests reported, and no accidents both. Cops have been out in power although, together with right here.
