Why Lupe Fiasco hates his personal album

Lupe Fiasco is an undeniably gifted artist. The rapper (actual title Wasalu Jaco) discovered an unfathomable quantity of success within the mid-2000s along with his extremely profitable debut album, Lupe Fiasco’s Meals & Liquor and continued to launch high-quality lyrical and socially aware rap materials.

So for me, at that point, it was just another record.” Though he didn’t just like the lead single, it wasn’t the one a part of the album Jaco wasn’t proud of. Explaining why he hated the album, Jaco instructed Advanced, “One thing I try to stress about this project is, I love and hate this album. I listen to it and I’ll like some of the songs. But when I think about what it took to actually get the record together and everything that I went through on this record—which is something I can’t separate—I hate this album.”

He concluded by saying, Lots of the songs which might be on the album, I’m kinda impartial to. Not that I don’t like them, or that I hate them, it’s simply I do know the method that went behind it.” You may take heed to Lasers beneath.
