Vic Mensa is maximizing his co-headlining celebration in Ghana today — he’s likewise leading the charge on a job to bring tidy water to 3 villages there!!!
Vic informs TMZ Hip Hop he was moved after seeing the desolate living conditions, consisting of polluted water, direct … and partnered with his daddy, a Ghana native, to release their effort.
The Chicago-born rap artist states, “We’re building 3 boreholes in different communities in Ghana to provide clean drinking water; the first being the Asokore Zongo in Koforidua where my family lives, which is already built.”
Vic includes, “The other locations are a nearby community called Effiduase and then our ancestral village in the Volta Region, Amedzofe. Most people in communities like this in Ghana experience constant waterborne diseases.”
We’re informed Koforidua is house to around 200k individuals, Effiduase is approximated at 20k individuals and Amedzofe has a population of around 6k — so, the task will make a substantial contribution to the health and well-being of the area.
Barring any missteps, drilling for the boreholes is stated to take 3-4 weeks and consists of 10-15 days of on-site drilling, followed by pipework and cable television setups.
All the operations appear to be very first class … water will really be evaluated in a laboratory prior to human usage, and we’re informed the boreholes cost $45k to total.
