UFC star Chris Weidman simply shared some terrible news … his nephew was detected with an uncommon and aggressive type of cancer — and he’s now asking everybody for their aid and assistance.
The previous middleweight champ released a video message on his Instagram page on Thursday exposing that his nephew, Josh, was detected with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma in July. He stated it’s an exceptionally unusual illness that “starts in the muscle tissue and usually affects athletic young kids.”
Weidman stated Josh will now need to go through chemo for 42 weeks in order to attempt to eliminate it off.
The fighter described the roadway is going to be a long one — however he stated there are methods individuals can pitch in and aid.
Weidman prompted his fans to share his video message, make a contribution to Josh’s GoFundMe page, and shave their heads to reveal uniformity with the young boy.
In the 38-year-old’s video message, Weidman, Josh’s bros, cousins and other relative were all seen cutting off their hair.
The combined martial artist likewise shared a few of Josh’s basketball, football, battling and lacrosse emphasize clips in his post.
“This is my family,” Weidman stated. “This is my nephew.”
