Donald Trump made headlines throughout a rally in Las Vegas by proposing a plan to cope with the 88,000 IRS brokers employed below the Biden administration. Trump recommended both firing these brokers or repurposing them to deal with border safety on the U.S.-Mexico border.

“On day one, I immediately halted the hiring of any new IRS agents,” Trump informed his supporters, reiterating his previous efforts to restrict authorities oversight. He criticized the Biden administration for increasing the IRS workforce, claiming, “They tried to hire 88,000 new workers to go after you.”

Trump continued, saying his staff is “in the process of developing a plan” to both remove these positions or assign the brokers to frame enforcement duties. “I think we’re going to move them to the border,” he added, drawing cheers from the group.
