Trevor Bauer’s 324-Game Suspension Reduced, Reinstated Immediately

Trevor Bauer — who was suspended 324 video games after he was implicated of sexual attack — had his penalty lowered to 194 video games on Thursday, the league revealed.

Independent arbitrator Martin Scheinman ruled the Dodgers pitcher, who served 144 video games of his suspension, will be restored instantly. Bauer will not need to miss out on any extra time, as his positioning on the league’s limited list in the 2021 season will count towards the general penalty.

“While we believe a longer suspension was warranted, MLB will abide by the neutral arbitrator’s decision, which upholds baseball’s longest-ever active player suspension for sexual assault or domestic violence,” the league composed in a declaration Thursday.
