Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith revealed raw feeling over his pal, Robert Quinn, getting traded to the Philadelphia Eagles … breaking down in tears and ending his interview after hearing the news.
32-year-old Quinn — who had 18.5 sacks in 2021 — was delivered to Philly in exchange for a fourth-round badger Wednesday … and Smith remained in the middle of his media schedule when he discovered the offer.
“It sucks,” 25-year-old Smith stated as he attempted to compose himself. “I’m gonna take a second for a second, if you don’t mind.”
“I have a great deal of respect for that guy, you know … damn. Crazy.”
Smith waited numerous more minutes prior to choosing to get up and leave the space.
Quinn now signs up with an unbeaten Eagles group that’s sitting quite at the top of the NFC East … which is a better circumstance than the 3-4 Bears.
Smith and his Chicago colleagues will now attempt to enhance their record without their star protective end.
As they state — that’s the nature of business, folks.
