From Nintendo and Illumination comes a brand-new animated movie based upon the world of Super Mario Bros.
Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (partners on ‘Teen Titans Go!’) from a movie script by Matthew Fogel (‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’), the buzzy movie stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

Pratt, who raised eyebrows with his casting as everybody’s preferred plumbing, teased his Mario voice as “unlike anything you’ve heard” in the traditional “Super Mario. Bros” franchise.
“I worked truly carefully with the directors and trying a couple of things and arrived at something that I’m truly pleased with and can’t await individuals to see and hear,” he stated in an interview with Variety.
“It’s an animated voiceover story. It’s not a live-action film. I’m not gonna be using a plumbing technician match running all over. I’m offering a voice for an animated character, and it is upgraded and unlike anything you’ve heard in the ‘Mario’ world prior to.”
As anticipated, Twitter took off with responses–some great, some not-so-good–to the extremely prepared for teaser trailer that premiered at New York Comic Con.
Black, who was born to voice Mario’s atrocious archnemesis Bowser, wowed fans with his incredible voice acting in the teaser and surprise look at the yearly convention.
