Nia Long is lastly breaking her silence on the unfaithful scandal including her fiancé, suspended Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka — stating she was ravaged when the news broke 2 months ago … and still is.
As we formerly reported, Udoka — employed as the Celtics HC in 2015 — was shelved for the whole 2022-23 season in September … after having an improper relationship with a female personnel, breaching group policy.
Long — who got engaged to Udoka in 2015 and has an 11-year-old kid with the coach — hasn’t spoken openly about the scandal up until just recently doing an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face,” the starlet stated, “when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public.”
“It was devastating, and it still is.”
The “Friday” starlet — who did not discuss her relationship status with Udoka — likewise called out the Celtics for not connecting when they exposed the individual information of the scandal.
“If you remain in business of safeguarding females — I’m sorry, nobody from the Celtics company has actually even contacted us to see if I’m OK, to see if my kids are okay. It’s extremely frustrating.”
In spite of that, Long stated she had “a tribe of women and men” rather … safeguarding and reassuring her through this challenging time.
Plus, Long is anticipating directing her very first movie … and it’s a romance.
“I have to commit myself to that because I think sometimes when so much is happening, it takes your breath away and then it’s like you’re holding your breath, and you feel this angst and this panic of constantly being in fight-or-flight survival mode,” Long stated.
“I think mothers, Black women, we understand that more than anyone.”
