TMZ gotten new video of Cage The Elephant singer Matt Shultz being put inside the back of a police vehicle with his hands cuffed behind his back after his arrest today for having unlawful weapons in New York City.
Check out this video of the two-time Grammy-winning artist sporting an official t-shirt and tie and surrounded by cops Thursday early morning outside The Bowery Hotel in the East Village. Cops took Shultz to a police headquarters, where they processed him for criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a gun, both felonies.
According to police … Shultz’s issues began late Wednesday night while he was a visitor at the hotel. An employee found Shultz displaying a pistol in a first-floor restroom and reported him to an exceptional, who, in turn, called the NYPD.
We’re informed cops reacted to Shultz’s space and knocked on the door …. Shultz addressed the knock and marched into the corridor.
Cops apparently asked Shultz if he had a gun … to which, Shultz responded, “two .45 caliber guns.” When pushed about whether he still had the weapons, Shultz informed police officers he “may, but did not know,” causing his arrest, cops stated.
Investigators then got a search warrant and recuperated the 2 crammed guns from within Shultz’s space.
