‘Naked and Afraid’ Contestant Melanie Rauscher Died From Huffing Air Canisters

“Naked and Afraid” contestant Melanie Rauscher inadvertently died from absorbing a deadly quantity of compressed air utilized in cleansing items, this according to her autopsy report.

35-year-old Melanie was discovered dead near cans of dust cleaner in Prescott, AZ, on July 17. The report, acquired from the Yavapai County Medical Inspector, states that Melanie breathed in the poisonous propellant, leaving her unresponsive.

Her authorities cause of death was noted as difluoroethane toxicity, which is typically called “huffing” amongst young people searching for a fast and inexpensive method to get high. The report kept in mind that drugs and alcohol did not contribute in her death.
