Legendary boxing ring commentator Michael Buffer states he’s sad over the death of Mills Lane … informing TMZ Sports the battle ref was “one of the all-time greats.”
Lane died on Tuesday early morning … after he had actually remained in hospice. His child, Tommy Lane, informed the Reno Gazette Journal that Mills had taken “a significant decline in his overall situation” just recently and passed away while surrounded by his household.
Just days after his passing, Buffer remembered Mills as a strong man who he’d miss out on.
“I worked with him many times,” Buffer stated at LAX. “For me, I always just loved the way he would say, ‘Let’s get it on!’ through the instructions in the middle of the ring.”
