This time it’s a constable in North Carolina who loudly and happily targeted Black police officers who worked under him. The News & Observer reports that Columbus County Sheriff Jody Greene is under examination after a recording of him appeared calling deputies under him “Black bastards.”

When previous Captain Jason Soles taped the explosive conversation in 2019, he was acting constable while Greene’s election was still objected to. “I’m fed up with it. I’m fed up with these Black bastards,” Greene stated, describing Black deputies he thought were still devoted to Hatcher. “I’m going to tidy home and be finished with it. And we’ll start from there,” WECT reported.

“They’re gone. This is as reasonable as I’m going to be. Just providing you a direct, that’s coming. When me and [attorney] Boyd [Worley] and [wife] Angie [Greene] go through it tomorrow, the very first numbers we see, they’re gone. They ain’t going to make it bro,” Greene threatened.

“I’m informing you, they may too discover elsewhere to go. Because if you ain’t with me – I ain’t describing you – however if they’re not with me, they’re versus me. And they’re gone. And that’s simply how it’s going to be. Clarity – whatever her name is, I wear’t trust her. Dawn states she’s racist… If I need to fire every mom f***er out there, think what?,” Greene stated.
