Ex-WWE Superstar Sasha Banks Joins NJPW, Debuts As ‘Mercedes Mone’

Sasha Banks is back in the ring … simply not with the WWE.

The previous ladies’s champ formally signed up with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), debuting as “Mercedes Mone” with the promo.

Mercedes Varnado, who passed “Sasha Banks” throughout her period with the WWE, reached NJPW’s WrestleKingdom 17 at the Tokyo Dome in front of a jam-packed crowd.

Mone challenged Kairi, previous WWE professional athlete and the present IGWP ladies’s champ, establishing a face-off in between the 2 at New Japan’s Battle in the Valley occasion on Feb. 18 in San Jose, California.

“I am here in New Japan and Stardom to make more [history],” Varnado stated on the mic after she assaulted Kairi.

You’ll recall … last May, Mercedes, along with WWE superstar Naomi, apparently walked out of a taping of “Monday Night Raw.” Neither wrestler appeared on any of the business’s shows considering that the event.

Sasha and Naomi were suspended indefinitely — and Wrestling Inc. reported WWE launched Banks in June.

Ahead of her NJPW launching on Wednesday, which was not advertised, Mercedes — who invested 10 years with the WWE — thanked a host of people who assisted her for many years, calling Vince McMahon, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, William Regal, and the WWE Universe.
