Drake reveals his favourite Drake songs

Drake has a massive discography and is one of the most decorated hip-hop artists of all time. During the 2010s, the Canadian emcee was unstoppable. With four Grammy awards, 13 BET awards and a whopping 34 Billboard awards, the Young Money artist broke all kinds of musical records and was even awarded the accolade’ Billboard Artist of the Decade’.

Since the 2010s, the lyricist (real name Aubrey Graham) has only been on an upward trajectory. Drake has since released eight studio albums, three compilation albums, four EPs, seven mixtapes and a whopping 139 singles. With such an extensive catalogue, it would be hard for anybody to pick Drake’s track, yet the rapper himself did just that at a guest lecture at Florida International University.

Speaking on his own favourite projects and music, the rapper revealed that his 2016 project Views is one of his most prized bodies of work. Speaking on the album’s track ‘Feel No Ways’, the rapper stated, “I love that song because it always makes me feel the excitement from when I made it.” He continued, “I feel always as good as when I made it, which is tough because sometimes songs get played out.”

Continuing to speak on his love for the project, he suddenly revealed, “I think that ‘Feel No Ways’ and ‘Fire & Desire’ are two of my favourite songs, too!” Both tracks feature on the 2016 album Views.

Concluding the lecture by speaking on his creative process and the work and intention that goes into his music, the rapper reminded the students that, “Sometimes you forget, like, the biggest hits or… what seems like the easiest ones really weren’t that easy.”

He continued, “Even ‘God’s Plan’ is another example of a song that I still feel has great integrity. It’s not a corny song. Obviously, a lot of people associate it with the video. Like, assume that it’s this positive, uplifting song. But I remember I wrote that song for, like, my dawgs.”
