DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: Izzy Spears – “FREAKS”

In this brand-new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ classification, we wish to present you to upcoming artist Izzy Spears and his brand name brand-new single entitled “FREAKS”.

Izzy Spears shares “FREAKS,” the most recent single off his upcoming launching EP entitled Monstar, due November 11 through KRO Records, a Los Angeles based record label established by Producers Lawrence Rothman and Yves Rothman.

Speaking with FLOOD Magazine on his most recent track, Izzy composed:

“I would state ‘FREAKS’ is my anthem tune. Every musical body of work requires one. The composing came natural, directly from the head when I heard the banjo. I composed the tune in one day in a session with Duskdriven explaining the characteristic of specific individuals we understand.”

Izzy Spears explains Monstar, his highly-anticipated six-song launching EP, as a sort of encrypted journal entry. Inspired by his own life, each tune is extremely individual, informing a various story about an experience he’s had. But with coded lyrics, the tunes leave much as much as analysis for the listeners. Spears teamed up with Duskdriven, Yves Tumor, and Grammy-chosen manufacturer Chris Greatti on Monstar, which mixes categories of pop, rock, hip hop, and punk. Other partners on the job consist of Nation, Nicholas Weiss, and Pablo Meléndez. Yves Rothman blended the EP.
