Dead Kennedys Drummer D.H. Peligro Dead at 63, Hit Head in Bathroom

D.H. Peligro — a long time drummer for the Dead Kennedys — has actually passed away after striking his head in what appears to be an unintentional fall … however the jury’s still out on what precisely eliminated him.

The hard rock band revealed D.H.’s death Saturday in an authorities Instagram post, composing … “Dead Kennedys’ drummer D.H. Peligro (Darren Henley) passed away in his Los Angeles home yesterday, October 28th. Police on the scene stated that he died from trauma to the head caused by an accidental fall.”

Our sources inform us paramedics reacted to D.H.’s San Fernando Valley house Friday a little after 7 PM, where he was discovered in his restroom in his back home … this after being found by his property manager. We’re informed D.H. was noticable dead on the scene.

For now, our police sources state his death seems from natural causes without any nasty thought — naturally, an autopsy is pending for his main cause of death. One point of explanation though … we’re informed the fall/hit to the head appears to be incidental to whatever might have made him collapse in the very first location … which is still being examined.

At any rate … the music neighborhood is grieving. D.H. signed up with the Dead Kennedys in ’81 — changing their initial drummer, Bruce Slesinger — and remaining through their developmental years … adding to renowned records of theirs, consisting of “In God We Trust,” “Plastic Surgery Disasters,” “Frankenchrist,” and “Bedtime for Democracy.” The band separated in 1986.

Peligro played in other bands too, consisting of with the Red Hot Chili Peppers for a short time.
