Here’s the repeating cycle: law enforcement officers wrongfully eliminate a Black individual, policeman deals with no criminal charges, tax payers pay millions of dollars to on behalf of the city to settle the upcoming claim. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Daniel Prude was eliminated by Rochester law enforcement officer in March 2020. In the after-effects, cops chief LaRon Singletary lied to mayor Lovely Warren about the death stating that Prude passed away of an overdose. Today, according to NYTimes, the city will pay Prude’s household $12 million. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Now mayor Malik D. Evans states the settlement is to avoid more anger that is taking “an agonizing toll on our neighborhood.” Under the conditions of the settlement, the city takes no blame for Prude’s death. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Prude remained in an unpredictable state, naked, and unarmed when cops reacted to a call beyond his bro’s house. He had a hood location over his head and his face pushed into the concrete for 2 minutes. Upon falling unconscious, officers tried to resuscitate him however he would pass away later on at the health center. Somehow, none of this is the city’s fault.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Despite her feigned outrage, then-Mayor Warren resigned as did cops chief Singletary. The city went on to commission an independent examination and the author of the report stated this:

“Did authorities of City federal government reduce info about the arrest and death of Daniel Prude in between March 23, 2020, when the arrest happened, and Sept. 2, 2020, when the Prude household openly launched body-worn video camera video footage of the occurrence?” the report’s authors wrote. “The uncomplicated response is yes.”

When will the wash, rinse, repeat end? When will all police officers begin going to jail for the blood on their hands? When will police departments stop attempting to conserve these pigs from the effects of their actions? Probably never ever.
