The Washington Commanders simply let loose on Colts honcho Jim Irsay for stating “there is merit” to eliminate Dan Snyder as an NFL owner … calling his remarks “highly inappropriate, but not surprising.”
Irsay got honest with press reporters at the league’s fall conferences on Tuesday … where he stated the accusations made versus Snyder and the Washington football company might lead to a bulk vote to eliminate him as group owner.
“I just believe in the workplace today, the standard that the shield stands for, in the NFL, that you have to stand for that and protect that,” the Colts owner stated.

“I just think that once owners talk amongst each other, they’ll arrive to the right decision,” he included. “My belief is that, unfortunately, I believe that that’s the road we probably need to go down, and we just need to finish the investigation. But it’s gravely concerning to me, the things that have occurred there over the last 20 years.”
The Commanders rapidly fired a reaction at Irsay … declaring his viewpoints are based upon “falsehoods in the media.”
“It is regrettable that Mr. Irsay chose to go public with his declaration today, while an examination remains in procedure, and the group had no chance to officially react to the accusations,” a Commanders representative stated.
“The Commanders have made remarkable progress over the past two years. We are confident that, when he has an opportunity to see the actual evidence in the case, Mr. Irsay will conclude that there is no reason for the Snyders to consider selling the franchise. And they won’t.”
Snyder was just recently implicated of both sexually pestering a worker and keeping income that was implied to be shown NFL owners … however the Commanders owner highly rejects the claims.
If Snyder is voted out … it would be the very first time an owner has actually been dislodged in NFL history.
