At the 2023 Grammy Awards, Brown’s Breezy (Deluxe) album was chosen for Best R&B Album together with Mary J. Blige, Robert Glasper, Lucky Daye and PJ Morton.

In completion, Glasper took house the award for his job Black Radio III, that included partnerships with Common, Jennifer Hudson, Erykah Badu and others. But, in spite of the huge names on his album–and in spite of Glasper being a five-time Grammy winner and 12-time candidate–Chris Brown isn’t knowledgeable about his work, blasting Glasper on social networks after discovering he lost the award.

Robert Glasper, on the other hand, was a lot more thoughtful with his win than Chris Brown was with his loss.
