R*B legend Chaka Khan is understood for saying whatever the heck she feels.
In a current interview with ‘The Originals’ podcast, the ‘Sweet Thing’ vocalist didn’t precisely have the sweetest things to state when she was inquired about the most recent ‘Rolling Stone’ “Top vocalists” list.
“I didn’t even understand what the hell you were discussing, so undoubtedly this put on’t mean a great deal to me,” she told interviewer Andrew Goldman about the ‘RS’ ranking. “These people put on’t measure or confirm me in any method.”
When the host exposed that Adele ranked #22 (7 areas above her), Chaka responded, “Okay, I stopped.”
She had even harsher words for Mariah Carey. “That need to be payola or some shit like that,” the ‘I’m Every Woman’ belter stated in action to Carey’s noting at #5.
The most significant diss came when Goldman shared the 69-year-old’s on-and-off-again pal Mary J. Blige was printed in the #25 area.
“They are blind as a motherfucking bat! They require listening devices…These need to be the kids of Helen Keller,” Khan exclaimed.
Chaka went on to describe how she thinks that Mary J Blige “f***ed up” the remake of the tune “Sweet Thing.”
