Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett confessed Tuesday what everybody currently understood — he blew the ending of Monday night’s video game versus the Seahawks.
Hackett got honest at his conference with media members less than 24 hr after losing to Seattle … exposing he needs to have, in truth, stuck to Russell Wilson on fourth-and-five rather of kicking a 64-yard basket as the time ticked away on “MNF.”
“Looking back at it,” he stated, “we definitely should have gone for it.”

The Broncos were routing the Seahawks, 17-16, however Wilson, who’s no complete stranger to late-game magic, was driving the Broncos down the field with the hopes of winning in his much-anticipated go back to Seattle.
The issue? When Russ’ drive stalled near midfield — Hackett chosen to pull him from the video game, and trot Brandon McManus to try to make a traditionally long kick.
Of course, he missed out on … and the Broncos lost — and Hackett made it clear he is sorry for the choice.
“It’s just one of those things that’s unfortunate, but that was our plan going into it,” the novice head coach stated. “Obviously, looking back at it, if you missed the field goal, you’re always going to wish you would’ve gone for it, and if you would’ve gone for it and not gotten it, you wish you would’ve given him a chance.”
Hackett’s choice was so doubtful … Hall of Popularity QB Peyton Manning, who was hosting the ManningCast throughout the video game, was noticeably stunned over all of it.

The bright side for Hackett … he and the Broncos will get an opportunity at redemption on Sunday when they handle the Texans.
