Birdman Denies Gillie Da Kid’s Ghostwriting Claims

Birdman has responded to Gillie Da Kid’s claims that he used to ghostwrite for Lil Wayne back in the day.

“I never put a record out with Gillie. I ain’t never made a dollar off Gillie when he be runnin’ around with all that cappin, like, n-gga, I ain’t never made no money off you, n-gga. Stop all that cap-ass talkin’, n-gga. You not like that,” Birdman told Wack 100 on Clubhouse. “And he for sure ain’t never wrote one rhyme for Moolah.”

Weezy has always denied Gillie wrote for him but Gillie has maintained he used to be the Louisiana rapper’s pen.

“Let me just say this, right. I done spoke on that sh-t so many times that — if you Google it, Stunna say it. Out his mouth. ‘He wrote some things for the company but he didn’t get paid what he got paid.’ So that was gratifying enough,” Gillie said on Drink Champs back in 2020. “At the end of the day, salute to Lil Wayne. Salute to Baby. ‘Cause I seen Baby in Miami at King Of Diamonds and, you know, I approached him.”
