Banksy is going to war with Guess — implicating the clothes brand name of stealing his work — and now motivating folks to take from the seller’s London shop.
The well-known graffiti artist simply put out a call to all shoplifters, motivating them to check out the Guess seller on Regent Street in London.
Banksy published an image of the Guess shop, and it appears like the seller has his Flower Thrower graffiti showed in addition to clothing bearing some of his well-known works.
In his post, Banksy rips into Guess, stating … “They’ve helped themselves to my artwork without asking, how can it be wrong for you to do the same to their clothes?”
Guess just recently began offering a brand-new collection and the clothes line advertisements extol products “with graffiti by Banksy.” Guess states the collection is a collab with Brandalised, which Guess refers to as “an urban graffiti license whose mission is to offer Banksy fans affordable graffiti collectibles.”
In the wake of Banksy’s post, Guess apparently closed the Regent Street area to buyers, covered the window screen and boosted security.
