A’s legend Dave Stewart says if his former group leaves Oakland, he’ll be devastated … and now, he is hoping for a “last-minute miracle” that stops the squad from transferring to Las Vegas.
TMZ Sports activities spoke with the previous World Sequence MVP simply hours after the A’s introduced that they had agreed to purchase land in Sin Metropolis, seemingly with the intention of finally transferring there … and Stewart did not even attempt to conceal his disappointment with all of it.
The ex-pitcher, who grew up in Oakland and went on to play eight years for the Athletics, mentioned “it’s just heartbreaking to see this happening.”
Stewart instructed us he actually feels most for town itself … as a result of it already misplaced the Raiders to Vegas and the Warriors to San Francisco previously few years.
He added, although, that he understood it may be a transfer A’s possession simply has to make.
“Even though it’s heartbreaking, sometimes you just have to make the decision that puts you in a position to be successful going forward,” he mentioned.
