Akon Says Chris Brown’s Hood Ties Prevented Michael Jackson-Type Legacy

Akon thinks Chris Brown has all the skill to seal a legacy as huge as Michael Jackson‘s … that is, if he surrounds himself with somebody besides Bloods.

The artist/producer/mogul was a visitor on Shannon Sharpe‘s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, and while talking about the perpetual CB vs. MJ debate … he made the vibrant pronouncement about Chris.

Akon says if CB had MJ’s quality of management and handlers, the “Go Crazy” vocalist would’ve skyrocketed to renowned heights, however he didn’t get that kinda assistance. Instead, Akon says Chris had gangbangers in his inner circle.

For what it deserves, Shannon does not share Akon’s optimism about Chris presuming MJ’s throne merely by removing himself from the hood.

Michael argument aside, CB’s doing simply great — he had a substantial trip with Lil Baby this year, and simply got a Grammy election for Best R&B Album for his “Breezy (Deluxe).”
