Spencer Pratt and his spouse, Heidi Montag, are suing the town of Los Angeles and its Division of Water and Energy after dropping their Palisades residence within the Los Angeles wildfires.
The couple says that if the water provide system had been correctly maintained, the fires would have been higher maintained they usually, and numerous others, wouldn’t have misplaced their properties.
“LADWP and City of Los Angeles had a duty to properly construct, inspect, maintain and operate its water supply system,” the swimsuit reads.

“The Palisades Fire was an inescapable and unavoidable consequence of the water supply system operated by LADWP and City of Los Angeles as it was planned and constructed. The system necessarily failed, and this failure was a substantial factor in causing Plaintiffs to suffer the losses alleged in this Complaint.”
The couple’s lawsuit mentions the The Santa Ynez Reservoir which has reportedly been “out of commission since February 2024.”
Greater than two dozen different plaintiffs have been included within the lawsuit.
