Shane Gillis Says Notre Dame’s Loss To NIU Sparked Dad’s Heart Attack

Notre Dame’s early season loss to Northern Illinois did not simply shock the faculty soccer world — it practically killed Shane Gillis‘ dad!!!

The comic and identified ND fan revealed on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday his pops was so damaged up over the Combating Irish’s beautiful Sept. 7 NIU defeat … he suffered a coronary heart assault.

Fortunately, Gillis — who was on the McAfee present previewing the Golden Domers’ nationwide championship matchup with Ohio State — mentioned Pops is doing nicely now.

McAfee and the remainder of the blokes could not imagine the story … and gave Gillis’ dad a spherical of applause for getting back from the medical emergency.

37-year-old Gillis then joked Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman performed a task in reviving his father … by getting the crew to bounce again rapidly.

“Marcus is the man,” Gillis mentioned. “He’s the man. He’s awesome. He’s the nicest, coolest guy.”
