Two Women, 1 Man Arrested For Blowing Fetanyal Smoke in Newborn’s Face So She’d Stop Crying

Authorities say three adults have been arrested on baby endangerment prices after they found fentanyl in a child’s diaper bag and that fentanyl smoke had been deliberately blown into the face of a 19-month-old toddler to cease her from crying.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Workplace arrested Robert Mason, 33, Jennifer Trevino, 32, and Aracely Rocha, 22, on 4 counts every of second-degree felony baby endangerment.

The investigation started after the three had been pulled over for allegedly littering in entrance of the Frontier Inn & Suites in Abilene the place they had been staying on Jan. 25. Police searched the car and allegedly discovered fentanyl within the car and the child’s diaper bag, PEOPLE reported.

“A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed 56 fentanyl pills and multiple items of drug paraphernalia commonly used for smoking fentanyl,” an arrest affidavit reads.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Workplace searched their room and found that 4 kids and 4 adults lived within the lodge with two adjoining rooms.

“Interviews revealed three of the four adults were actively involved in smoking fentanyl in the presence of the children for at least the last two days,” the affidavit alleges. “Interviews also revealed the adults had knowledge of at least one of the adults blowing fentanyl smoke into the face of the infant to get the child to stop crying.”

“The infant was having difficulty breathing” and was taken to a close-by hospital together with the three different kids, per the affidavit.

The trio had been taken and booked to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Workplace, the place they’re being held on $100,000 bond.

The trio have but to be charged.
