Cam’ron Says Master P Inspired Him To Create Dipset

Cam’ron says he most likely wouldn’t have created Dipset if it weren’t for Master P and his motion.

“I used to observe these arguments, like, ‘N-ggas is really going crazy about n-ggas who’s in the same clique,’” Cam mentioned of the No Restrict hysteria invading New York Metropolis again within the day. “So I kinda took all that format to try to make the Diplomat brand,” he mentioned on All The Smoke.

He continued: “N-ggas used to have No Limit fights on my block. N-ggas was in New York wearing camouflage. Master P had n-ggas going crazy. Mr. Serv-on, Mystikal, it got down with them n-ggas. Shaq was in the video. They talking about P got $400 million. N-ggas is going around buying fake tank chains. All type of sh-t. Master P had that sh-t in a frenzy.”

The Diplomats (Dipset) is a hip-hop collective fashioned in 1997 and was initially composed of Cam’ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey, all of whom grew up collectively in Harlem. In 1999, fellow Harlem-based rapper Juelz Santana joined the group.

Cam’ron now has a well-liked sports activities podcast, It Is What It Is with Harlem rapper, Ma$e.
