A codefendant in Fulton County’s RICO lawsuit in opposition to YSL has accepted a plea deal.

Derontae Bebee, aka “Bee” or “B,” pled responsible to conspiracy to violate the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), armed theft, hijacking a motorized vehicle, theft by receiving stolen property, violation of the Georgia Managed Substances Act, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, and participation in legal avenue gang exercise.

“Do you give this guilty plea freely and voluntarily this afternoon,” Superior Courtroom Decide Ural Glanville requested Bebee.

“Yes,” Bebee replied.

In return, Bee was sentenced to fifteen years in jail, with 5 to be served behind bars and 10 on probation. The 2 years he has already served behind bars can be credited. Had he not taked the deal he might have acquired life in jail.

“This is an opportunity for a second chance,” Bebee’s attoryney Durante Partridge mentioned. “When he was younger, he made some mistakes which led him to be a convicted felon, now he’s 23. He’s still young, still has an opportunity to turn it around.”
