Mary Lou Retton Out Of ICU, Recovering At Home

Mary Lou Retton has simply taken an enormous step in her battle to beat pneumonia … she’s been launched from the ICU — and is now at residence recovering.

One of many Olympic legend’s daughters, McKenna, shared the excellent news on her Instagram web page on Monday … thanking medical doctors, nurses and followers for all the things they’ve finished to get her so far.

“We still have a long road of recovery ahead of us,” McKenna wrote, “but baby steps.”

Retton was first admitted into the ICU earlier this month after contracting a uncommon type of pneumonia … and whereas initially her household was happy together with her progress, they mentioned she suffered a “pretty scary setback” final week.

Appears, although, Retton has battled previous that … one thing her household is clearly overjoyed about.

“We are overwhelmed with the love and support from everyone,” McKenna mentioned. “Grateful doesn’t scrape the surface of the posture of our hearts.”
