Damian Lillard is rejecting he liked a tweet about Ja Morant which insinuated the Grizzlies star isn’t “hood” amidst his current weapon occurrence.
The debate began when Dame presumably liked a tweet fired off by a fan that checked out … “Notice Dame is actually from the hood but he don’t go around acting like Ja Morant who is from the suburbs trying to act hood”
The declared screenshot proving Lillard’s “like” began walking around social networks and certainly had fans thinking the veteran NBA star was calling out his equivalent. But, Lillard tried to close down that discussion.
“Let em lie,” the 32-year-old stated on social networks. “F*** I look like liking that.”
Of course, Morant brandished a handgun on Instagram Live while partying at a strip club late Saturday night, resulting in him leaving the Grizzlies for a minimum of 2 video games.
Morant provided a declaration stating he’d “take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”
In addition to flashing the weapon, Ja was currently under fire after more was found out about a supposed occurrence throughout a pickup basketball video game. Morant, in a claim, was implicated of battering a teenage young boy, prior to presumably frightening the 17-year-old with a gun in his waistband.
As for the tweet, some fans aren’t purchasing Dame’s rejection, stating he might’ve simply unliked the tweet once individuals observed. But, Lillard isn’t mincing words … he states he didn’t like the message.
“I don’t care who is and is not from the “trenches,” Damian composed.
