With Polar Bear gone, Medusa and California Roll were delegated fight in the Battle Royale. After both acts performed their variation of Billy Joel‘s “Uptown Girl,” California Roll was chosen to carry on to the quarterfinals.

However, the panelists had a technique up their sleeves.

Due to their frustrating appreciation for Medusa, panelist Nicole Scherzinger called the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell—a brand-new Masked Singer function this season—and conserved Medusa, moving her to the quarterfinals, also.

“After I heard the California Roll, I knew they won,” Medusa stated after being conserved. “I felt so embarrassed. Thank you so much. This means more to me than you’ll ever know. I’m very relieved.”

Meet an entire brand-new batch of masked entrants when The Masked Singer returns next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
