NHL’s Rasmus Andersson Hit By Car While Riding Scooter In Detroit

Rasmus Andersson — a Calgary Flames defenseman — was terrifyingly hit by a car while riding a scooter in downtown Detroit on Wednesday … however, luckily, he’s okay.

The NHL group described the mishap in a declaration on Thursday … exposing the 26-year-old was on his method to supper through scooter when he was struck by a car at around 6 PM.

The Flames stated Andersson was transferred to the Detroit Receiving Hospital for screening and, luckily, was launched a brief time later on.

He’s now noted as daily … however will miss out on Thursday’s video game versus the Detroit Red Wings.

“He was going through a crosswalk,” Flames basic supervisor Brad Treliving stated on Thursday. “The good news — and the most important thing — is that Ras is doing well.”

Treliving included that the group and Rasmus are “very lucky.”

“It certainly could have been a lot worse. We want to make sure that we thank all those involved [in his care] and let everybody know that Ras is doing well.”

According to the Detroit Police Department, there was “no indication of any alcohol at all.” A representative included that there will be no arrests or tickets provided.

“It was a basic accident,” the DPD stated.

Rasmus began his hockey profession in 2012 when he signed up with the Malmo Redhawks in the Swedish Hockey League.

He left Sweden for North America and bet the Ontario Hockey League prior to he was selected by the Flames in the 2nd round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
