Filmmaker Michael Bay is now charged with killing a pigeon while directing a movie in Italy … however he’s shooting back, rejecting it ever took place under his watch.
The hit director was struck with charges connecting to the murder of the bird, which apparently took place back in 2018 on the set of the Netflix flick “6 Underground.”
However, sources linked to the production inform TMZ … all the homing pigeons utilized in the movie landed securely throughout recording.
One source informed us, “Everyone knows Michael is an animal activist. This would never happen on his set. There are dozens of witnesses who said that this didn’t happen.”
Italian authorities state otherwise — district attorneys declare the pigeon was eliminated by a dolly while Michael was recording in Rome … where it is prohibited to damage or eliminate wild birds.
Authorities state somebody from the set saw the entire thing, and took a picture prior to reporting it to police.
The accusation isn’t that Michael himself hurt the bird, however due to the fact that he was the director … he’s being delegated the event. Michael apparently attempted to get the case thrown away a number of times, however district attorneys continued.
