Franco Harris’ Last Interview, Hours Before Death, No Signs Of Trouble

Franco Harris took a seat for what was most likely his last interview on Tuesday — simply hours prior to his unfortunate death — where the Steelers legend discussed how pleased he was to make it to the 50th anniversary of the “Immaculate Reception.”

“50 years. C’mon, that’s a long time, but I’m still around to enjoy it, so that’s good,” 72-year-old Harris stated with a huge smile.

We’re informed the interview was done around 2:30 PM Eastern on December 20, 2022 … for “Not Just Football With Cam Heyward,” the Steelers star’s Omaha Productions produced program.

Of course, Harris’ death was announced on Wednesday … and it stunned the nation.

During the chat, Harris and Heyward thought back about among the best plays in sports history. Franco discussed what he was expected to do throughout the play, what he keeps in mind after capturing the ball (absolutely nothing!), and what took place after the amazing catch (consisting of when he ended up alone in a dining establishment with the whole Raiders group.)

Outwardly, definitely nothing appeared off about Franco … and like typical, he seemed in a terrific state of mind.

Franco was set to be honored this weekend throughout the NFL … as the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception is on December 23. Harris’ #32 was likewise set to be retired … and he was anticipated to be at Acrisure Stadium.
