Kyrie Irving is no longer a Nike professional athlete … a representative for the business revealed Monday.
Irving, whose future with the retail giant remained in concern after they suspended him for tweeting about a controversial, antisemitic movie … has actually cut ties with the NBA star, according to NBA expert Shams Charania.
As we formerly reported, Nike put its relationship with Ky on ice on November 4 … suspending Irving. In spite of pleasing the group and league with his apology, along with other actions, the Swoosh showed their relationship with Irving was most likely done after the suspension.
In an interview with CNBC, Phil Knight, co-founder and chairman of the production corporation, stated Irving’s relationship with the business was “likely over.”
“Kyrie stepped over the line. It’s kind of that simple,” Knight stated. “He made some statements that we just can’t abide by, and that’s why we ended the relationship. I was fine with that.”

Irving, 30, apparently resolved the report of his split with Nike … tweeting out a GIF that states, “There’s nothing more priceless than being free.”
