LeBron James Says Kyrie Irving Was Wrong, But Punishment’s Excessive

LeBron James says he understands what Kyrie Irving did was wrong … but the Lakers super star still concerned the Nets point player’s defense Thursday, declaring the penalty KI is now dealing with is simply excessive.

James, who had fun with Irving for numerous seasons in Cleveland, required to Twitter to communicate his position on the matter to his fanbase … drawing up numerous tweets while he remained in the middle of rehabbing a lower-body injury.

“I told you guys that I don’t believe in sharing hurtful information,” James stated. “And I’ll continue to be that way, but Kyrie apologized, and he should be able to play. That’s what I think. It’s that simple.”

Irving was suspended by the Nets last Thursday after he consistently refused to apologize for tweeting out a link to the antisemitic movie, “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America!”

The group called the restriction indefinite — stating Irving would need to please “a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct” in order to go back to the flooring.

According to Shams Charania, a few of the specifications consisted of level of sensitivity training, antisemitic training and conferences with Jewish leaders.

James plainly feels it’s all excessive … including, “Help him learn- but he should be playing. What he’s asked to do to get back on the floor I think is excessive IMO. He’s not the person that’s being portrayed of him.”
