James Corden Apologizes Again for Bad Behavior at Restaurant, Vows to Go Back

James Corden took his dad’s guidance and officially said sorry on-air for his obnoxious habits at an NYC dining establishment, putting the concern to rest … ideally!!

The television host began his ‘Late Late Show’ Monday by explaining that his papa — who remained in the audience — advised him to own up to his errors after he pulled back an earlier apology to Balthazar owner Keith McNally.

And, like a devoted boy, that’s precisely what Corden did. “Whenever these sorts of moments come my way, I like to adopt quite a British attitude. Never complain, never explain. But, as my dad pointed out to me on Saturday, he said, ‘Son, you did complain. So you might need to explain.’ Look, when you make a mistake, you have to take responsibility.”

Corden then entered into apology mode, stating what took place at the French brasserie in 1 of the 2 occurrences where he was described as a “Cretin.” He stated he was eating at Balthazar in SoHo a couple of weeks ago … and a server 3 times pertained to the table with the incorrect order for his partner, who has food allergic reactions.

The comic stated he made a “rude comment” to the waiter “in the heat of the moment,” which he lastly acknowledged was WRONG throughout a word salad. “I didn’t shout or scream. I didn’t get up out of my seat. I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language. I have been walking around thinking that I hadn’t done anything wrong, right? But, the truth is I have. I made a rude comment and it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server.”

Corden likewise quickly discussed the other occurrence in which he lost his cool after discovering a hair in his food. He stated he called McNally immediately and said sorry a lot after the dining establishment owner published to IG that Corden was prohibited for his bad habits.
