Longtime NBA Referee Tony Brown Passes Away At 55 Following Cancer Battle

Longtime NBA referee Tony Brown, who invested 20 seasons in the league and was among the league’s most highly regarded authorities, died on Thursday after courageously fighting pancreatic cancer.

He was 55 years of ages.

The NBA revealed the horrible news this afternoon.

“Tony Brown was among the most accomplished referees in the NBA and a motivation to his associates. After his pancreatic cancer medical diagnosis early in 2015, Tony battled courageously through numerous rounds of treatment to go back to work this previous season at the NBA Replay Center, showing the commitment, decision and enthusiasm that made him such an extremely appreciated authorities for 20 years,” commissioner Adam Silver stated.
