Tom Cruise Honors Late Attorney Bert Fields with Video at Memorial Service

Tom Cruise is remembering his late attorney and buddy, Bert Fields … sharing a fish story of how they initially satisfied.

The ‘Top Gun’ star taped a video message for Bert’s funeral … exposing how he initially encountered Bert — at a supper celebration with Dustin Hoffman.

Tom states he was seated beside Bert and they got to talking. It didn’t take wish for Tom to discover something various about Bert, remembering him as one of the most interesting individuals he’d ever satisfied.

The discussion was so engaging — Tom states they talked history and switched stories. Bert informed Tom he was Dustin’s attorney, and Tom employed him on the area.

The video message is quite psychological … with Tom describing what made Bert such a terrific person to have around. It’s clear Bert made a huge influence on Tom’s life, and not simply as his lawyer.

TMZ broke the story … Bert died in August after a famous profession representing the similarity Michael Jackson, James Cameron, Warren Beatty, Mike Nichols, Jeffrey Katzenberg, David Geffen, Jerry Bruckheimer, The Beatles and Madonna … simply among others.

Bert submitted some big claims versus media outlets on behalf of Tom, consisting of a $100 million match in 2001 after a publication declared Cruise was gay, wrongly declaring it had an X-rated video as evidence. The case settled, with the mag confessing, “Tom Cruise does not appear on the videotape … [He] is not and never has been, homosexual and has never had a homosexual affair.”
