Quavo Says Raekwon Gave Blessing for New Album Title

DJ Akademiks just recently stimulated a hornet’s nest with his “old and dusty” remarks targeting some hip hop leaders, however Quavo and Takeoff are evading that drama — they have the true blessings of the Wu-Tang Killer Bees in their corner!!!

We overtook Quavo Tuesday at LAX ahead of the release of their brand-new album “Only Built 4 Infinity Links” … the exact same one that efficiently drops Offset from Migos after the year-long fight.

The title is a direct referral to Raekwon and Ghostface Killah‘s timeless album, 1995’s “Only Built 4 Cuban Links” — and Quavo informs us he got direct consent from Rae himself to pay tribute with the new record.

The platinum-selling album ‘Cuban Links’ is among the most embellished in hip hop history … virtually birthing the 90s rap mafioso age, and advancing the tradition of RZA and Wu-Tang Clan for generations to come.

Quavo states he connected and informed Rae it would not be anything except an honor to continue the tradition, specifically provided whatever he states Wu-Tang Clan provided for the culture.

He and Takeoff have actually been putting in overtime draining the music … led by the hit “Hotel Lobby” single which dropped in May.
