1980s R&B legend Stephanie Mills is doubling down on her contrast in between Beyonce and Diana Ross. As Media Take Out reported, recently Stephanie came under fire after she stated that Beyonce was “too hip hop” tp be more glamorous that Diana Ross.
The R&B veteran made headings recently when she went on record to state, “Diana is the embodiment of class…Beyonce is more Hip-Hop”
Beyonce’s fans rapidly swarmed her social networks pages with the idea that she was being a “hater.”
During a look on The Breakfast Club the other day, Stephanie was inquired about the remarks – and didn’t keep back.

“With this album and the last number of years of Beyoncé, I seem like she’s resembled a rap artist like Hip-Hop. Diana Ross is glamorous. And initially let me beginning this by stating this: I am a Diana Ross fan. Have constantly wished to be Diana. I would go to her programs when she plays Caesar’s Palace. It was constantly terrific and amazing. So to me, you can’t compare no one to Diana. Not Beyoncé. I put on’t care if they put on’t like what [I said].I’ll state I stated it. I’m not gonna excuse it. Right.
That’s right. Diana is the embodiment of of glamour and grace. And I didn’t state that Beyoncé wasn’t. So, y’all put on’t like it. I’m sorry [I’m not apologizing].”
She continued:
“Did I state what? Did I state Hip-Hop was underneath? No, I did not. Go back. Look at that interview and take notice of what I in fact stated and not what you wish to believe. I stated there’s a distinction.”
I didn’t understand individuals were following me for that Beyoncé thing.
Everybody deserves to their viewpoint, and I appreciate that. But I deserve to mine. And I’m gonna state it.
There’s no doubt that Beyoncé is a queen, however Diana Ross is whatever to me. They can’t be compared and they can’t and there’s no compared. Two various ages.”
